This morning’s show features recordings made from the 1930s to the 1950s, showcasing musicians and singers from the US and the UK active during that time. We’ll listen to a short feature on the topic of “dreams”, with three recordings highlighting the approach of songwriters to this theme. Other highlights include Tommy Dorsey and his Clambake Seven, and Mel Tormé, as well as from the UK clarinetist Danny Polo and his orchestra and Billy Cotton, a very popular bandleader from the UK.
