IHTSB Nov 12, 2023 On today’s show we have a selection of recordings from the 1930a through to the 1950s. We hear from big bands led by Count Basie and Benny Goodman, trumpeters Bobby Hackett and Roy Eldridge, and a duet from Johnny Mercer and Jo Stafford. Benny Carter joins us from 1933, also featuring pianist Teddy Wilson in what may have been Teddy’s first recording. And we conclude with a lovely ballad from Dinah Shore. Artist Year Song Time
