Our show today celebrates some of the small group jazz recordings made in the 1930s to the 1950s. There are some very talented musicians in our line up along with some fabulous singers. As a special feature, we highlight three recordings made for the Vanguard label in the mid 50s, from groups led by Ruby Braff, Vic Dickenson and Jimmy Rushing. We listen too to recordings from Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Fats Waller. Enjoy this fabulous jazz!
