One of the most popular themes for songwriters features songs about dreams and dreaming, and each year we celebrate recordings of some of these songs in a special show. Our recordings today are from the mid 1930s to the late 1950s and bring us a range of interpretations of these delightful compositions. We begin with Benny Goodman and "I've Got A Date With A Dream" and we conclude with Rosemary Clooney and "Dream". Listen too to the lovely voices of Buddy Clark with “Girl of my Dreams”, Ella Fitzgerald with "Darn That Dream" and Frank Sinatra with "It's the Same Old Dream". And we are also joined by the fine orchestras of Glenn Miller and Charlie Kunz with their interpretations of this delightful topic. Enjoy these lovely songs on a delightful theme!
